Jakarta, 20 March 2018 – PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk (“ICBP” or the “Company”) today announced its financial results for the year ended 31 December 2017. ICBP posted 3.6% growth in consolidated net sales to Rp35.61 trillion from Rp34.38 trillion last year. The Noodles Division contributed around 64% to consolidated net sales, followed by the Dairy, Snack Foods, Food Seasonings, Nutrition & Special Foods and Beverages Division which contributed around, 20%, 7%, 2%, 2% and 5% respectively.
Income from operations increased 7.4% to Rp5.22 trillion from Rp4.86 trillion, and operating margin expanded to 14.7% from 14.2%. Income for the year attributable to equity holders of the parent entity rose 5.4% to Rp3.80 trillion from Rp3.60 trillion last year; net margin slightly improved to 10.7% from 10.5%. Without taking into account non-recurring items and difference in foreign exchange rate, core profit increased 8.6% to Rp3.99 trillion from Rp3.68 trillion.
Anthoni Salim, the President Director and Chief Executive Officer of ICBP, said: “Despite weaker consumer demand in the FMCG sector, ICBP continued to deliver top-line and bottom-line growth, as well as strengthened our market position in most product categories. In 2018, the domestic economy is expected to grow.
