ICBP aims to implement international standard Environmental Management Systems, specifically ISO 14001, which provides guidance around:
- Identification and assessment of environmental risks from the Company’s operational activities;
- Demonstrating management’s roles on system implementation including the integration of system requirement into business processes, provide the required resources and ensure that the system achieves its intended best outcome;
- Development of objectives, targets and programs for environmental risk mitigation;
- Operational control which is carried out through the creation of procedures, implementation of environmental programs, education and regular outreach to employees;
- Regular environmental monitoring, measuring and performance record keeping;
- Regular review by management and continuous efforts to improve the system.
Data accuracy and tools are regularly monitored using internal and external audits at least once a year to ensure that ISO standards are implemented consistently and effectively.
